Dahua HDCVI Camera Brings HD Panoramic Views to Coaxial Infrastructure

Dahua is showcasing its HDCVI multi-sensor camera along with a full portfolio of innovative multi-sensor models at ASIS 2017.

DALLAS — Dahua Technology USA is showcasing its HDCVI multi-sensor camera here at the 63rd ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits as part of a full portfolio of innovative multi-sensor models.

The device features three individual 2-megapixels sensors in an all-in-one IP67 weather resistant indoor/outdoor housing. It has an IR illumination distance of up to 66 feet and a transmission distance of up to 1640 feet over RG59 coaxial cable.

“Dahua expanded our multi-sensor family with the addition of the HDCVI model because multi-sensor cameras are becoming a popular choice for an increasing variety of installations,” says Jennifer Hackenburg, senior product marketing manager, Dahua Technology USA. “Multi-sensors were once regarded as niche components of large, exterior surveillance systems but we are seeing a greater need for them for interior surveillance. They’re well-suited for
hospitals and school buildings, for example.”

Because a multi-sensor camera provides the same coverage that would typically be provided by multiple standard cameras, fewer cameras are required, resulting in a less conspicuous camera presence and reduction in cost of installation, maintenance and VMS license, according to the company.

Dahua also offers four network multi-sensor cameras — a bullet camera with four 2-mp sensors (PFW8800N), a bullet camera with three 2-mp sensors (PFW8601N), a dome camera with four 2-mp sensors (PDBW8800N) and an all-in- one multi-sensor pan/tilt/zoom hybrid (PSD81602N).

The all-in-one camera boasts eight 2-mp sensors integrated with a 2-mp p/t/z, making it well-suited for 360-degree awareness. In addition to an array of form factors, the network multi-sensor family encompasses a number of features that includes Smart H.265+ compression, Starlight technology for ultra-low light sensitivity, and intelligent video system (IVS) analytics.

You can check out Dahua’s multi-sensors and the rest of the company’s products at ASIS 2017 in booth #4145.
