Genetec Partners With RideAmigos to Improve Commuting, Parking Experiences

Genetec and RideAmigos’ new partnership is designed to help workers no matter what method of commuting they choose to get to the office.

MONTREAL — Genetec, a provider of unified security, public safety and business intelligence solutions, has partnered with RideAmigos, an organization that help commuters. to deliver a simplified experience for workers returning to their offices.

The companies explain that RideAmigos Commute Hub helps employers deliver a seamless experience regardless of how their employees commute to the office. The companies continue by pointing out the combination of the Commute Hub and Genetec’s AutoVu Free-Flow and Curb Sense products enable commuters to identify their best transportation options and reserve a guaranteed parking space based on their needs, which could range from a variety of factors to help take the stress out of traveling to work.

“Employers are more conscious than ever of the commute experience and they’re looking for ways to support and incentivize employees as they navigate a transition to hybrid or in-person work arrangements,” says Kathryn Hagerman Medina, director of customer success and marketing, RideAmigos. “RideAmigos is pleased to partner with Genetec to make on-campus parking simple to use and manage as part of the comprehensive commute support and sustainability programs employers are running with Commute Hub.”

Advanced Camera Technologies Support Genetec, RideAmigos Partnership

At the heart of the newly formed alliance between the two companies is the use of automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) cameras. Through the use of these advanced cameras, RideAmigos’ Commute Hub and Genetec’s AutoVu Free-Flow and Curb Sense technologies provides parking officials with all the necessary information related to available parking spaces and facility status.

With all of this information readily available, both companies note that consumers can then take what they have learned and choose the best way to commute to work.

“Leaders at large organizations realize that commuting options are a critical part of the overall employee experience, particularly as people transition back to offices after being fully remote,” adds Michael Bradner, product line manager, AutoVu, Genetec. “Streamlining the commuter experience can help boost employee satisfaction and productivity. Our goal with this joint solution is to help organizations optimize accessibility and use of parking spaces and provide or subsidize alternative transportation services to reduce the burden on employees.”
