IDIS Releases New NDAA-Compliant 6MP & 8MP Cameras

IDIS has bolstered its line of NDAA-compliant cameras with the introduction of several new p/t/z 6MP and 8MP camera models.

COPPELL, Texas — IDIS, a manufacturer of video technologies, has introduced several new 6MP and 8MP cameras to extend its selection of NDAA-compliant cameras.

The company states that its new outdoor-ready and vandal-resistant 8MP DC-S6881HRX and the DC-S6881HRX-A 8MP cameras, along with the 6MP DC-S6681HRX and DC-S6681HRX-A models combine infrared (IR) technology with 31x optical zoom, autofocus lenses and 30 frames per second (fps) to provide high levels of coverage that includes low-light settings.

“These newest additions to our line-up offer powerful and advanced camera choices designed to meet a broader range of applications, including wide-area surveillance and mission-critical perimeter detection,” says Andrew Myung, president, IDIS America. “Because they are NDAA-compliant, they are the ideal choice for organizations looking to comply with the highest standards and give users the assurance of supply chain integrity.”

IDIS 6MP and 8MP Cameras Provide Surveillance Versatility

IDIS explains the new cameras were developed for wide-area surveillance applications, and the company notes the new models give users the ability to verify during security events with the capability to identify objects and recognize faces at distances up to 984 feet (300 meters).

Some of the ways that professional integrators can employ the new cameras include town and city center surveillance, street intersections, parking lots, perimeter security, and open areas such as shopping malls, sports facilities, hotels and warehouses.

According to IDIS, the new 6MP and 8MP cameras also feature technologies like its Smart Failover that helps to ensure uninterrupted coverage, as well as built-in heaters; IDIS’ Intelligent Codec that is said to deliver system bandwidth and storage savings, and electronic image stabilization.

The South Korean-based company emphasizes the products’ use of IDIS’ Smart UX Controls that allows the cameras to seamlessly and accurately track objects in real time at different speeds and directions.

IDIS adds that its new 6MP and 8MP cameras also provide simple plug-and-play connectivity with its line of DirectIP NVRs to save integrators time and money during the installation process.
