Inside SSI’s 2017 Security Solutions Award Winners

Large utility companies, a university campus, museum, international pharmaceutical company, national government agencies, homebuilder and connected home security integrator … it’s a rich tapestry of users with a common thread: innovative, and now award-winning, security solutions that have dutifully met their critical needs.

And that’s the point of Security Sales & Integration’s annual Security Solutions Awards program, for which the third installment of winners was announced during the ASIS Int’l Annual Seminar and Exhibits in Dallas this fall.

The program, which distinguishes those manufacturers and vendors whose electronic security solutions have been proven in the field to meet security, safety or other organizational needs for end users, named winners in seven categories.

The 2017 Security Solutions Awards winners are:

  • Bosch Security Systems (Video Surveillance, tie)
  • FLIR Systems (Video Surveillance, tie)
  • Genetec (Specialty Category)
  • HID Global (Access Control)
  • Honeywell (Home Controls)
  • Optex (Intrusion Detection)
  • Sharp Electronics (Security Monitoring)
  • Shooter Detection Systems (Fire/Life Safety)

Bosch and SecureXperts were also involved in the Genetec entry. Each submitted solution entrant was judged by a panel of experienced independent security industry professional integrators and consultants.

They evaluated not only on the technical merits and ease of installation of the product or technology solution but also the ability of it to help integrators meet project bid, specification or design parameters; satisfy regulatory, compliance or code requirements; and deliver the highest level of system capabilities, features, functionality, user-friendliness, results and client satisfaction across the full range of general, niche and vertical market applications.

All submitted project applications had to be installed or deployed in the past 18 months to be considered for the program. Winners and other entrants are profiled on the following pages, so take a perusal and start penning your potentially award-winning security story for next year’s edition.

Don’t delay, view the slideshow to see why this year’s winners took home the top prize, as well as the runners-up!
