Since its founding in 2000, March Networks has remained focused on delivering end-to-end IP video management solutions that help customers realize the true value of networked video. Leading commercial and government organizations worldwide use the firm’s video surveillance and intelligent software applications to reduce losses from theft, fraud and other crimes; mitigate security and liability exposures; and leverage video intelligence to improve operations, performance and return on investment.

Itself acquired by Infinova in 2012 for more than $88 million, consolidation across the electronic security landscape is viewed at March Networks as a significant agent of change organizationally as well as industry-wide.

“One of the trends we are seeing in the physical security industry today is the continuing, steady consolidation of not only vendor companies, but also of systems integrator organizations. The result is that systems integrators are working smarter and more aggressively than ever and looking to their vendor partners — rightly so — to step up further to support those efforts,”  says Net Payne, chief marketing officer, March Networks.

The company’s efforts to support its network of certified partners, including free online training, marketing programs and a wide range of support tools, has been bolstered by the recently introduced  GURU smartphone application.

Billed as a first in the industry, GURU saves partners time and money in the field by automating time-consuming tasks, such as repair processing and providing instant access to troubleshooting tips, video tutorials, product information and warranty status via any Apple or Android mobile device.

“In addition, we’ve added QR codes to the front panel of each new March Networks 8000 Series Hybrid NVR.  Technicians can simply scan the QR code using GURU and the application will instantly populate with product information. With a simple, one-touch process, partners can get product warranty status, process RMA requests etc. with their mobile devices, saving them valuable time and hassle,” Payne says.
