MIPS 2021 Guides Integration Partners Into ‘Shaping the New Next’

The 16th annual Milestone Integration Platform Symposium (MIPS) was presented virtually for the first time ever. Ulla Essendrop, above, an experienced international moderator working primarily in Danish national TV, served as host.

Forced to hold its MIPS 2021 conference virtually, Milestone Systems invited systems integrators and other stakeholders from across the Americas to explore how video technology is transforming business and society, as well as illustrating why video management systems will provide the foundation to this change.

Held March 2-3, the free event featured presentations and keynotes from Milestone Systems executives and global innovation experts, along with the success stories and industry insights from partners. Milestone CEO Thomas Jensen discussed how video technology has moved beyond security and eluded to coming changes to the company’s partner program.

Milestone CTO Bjørn Skou Eilertsen and CSMO Kenneth Hune Petersen delved into mega trends, accelerated technology adoption in key industries, and why Milestone Systems believes that video technology is the “electricity of the 21st century.”

All MIPS 2021 programming from both days can be viewed for free on-demand here through April 4. The sessions include a deep dive into the impact of video technology on city management, how video technology is improving every facet of transportation, and how computer vision and analytics are creating new opportunities in the retail industry for automation, personalization and even COVID-19 mitigation.

In this image gallery, you can view scenes from the first day of the event, with key takeaways from Milestone executives and Peter Hinssen, a renowned thought leader on radical innovation and the digital transformation.
