MIPS 2021 Guides Integration Partners Into ‘Shaping the New Next’

Milestone Systems CEO Thomas Jensen, who was appointed to the role in 2020, sat for an interview with MIPS host Ulla Essendrop to shed light on the future of the company and the industry. The main themes of the conversation centered on technology, partnerships and ethics.

Thomas alluded to coming modifications to the Milestone partner program that will include new membership expectations and business opportunities.

“Not all partners are created equal. First of all, we want to work with the right partners, and that of course are the partners who develop business outcomes for their customers. If we don’t create value for our customers and our societies, we have no business,” he said.

Working with “the right partners” will also entail high expectations placed on integrity and principled ethics.

“Secondly, we want to change our partner programs to incorporate the value that we want to bring, both in our core partners in security and safety, which is obviously very important,” he continued. “But also partnerships in key industry verticals as well as potentially horizontal solutions, such as access control, which is something that goes across all kinds of industries.”

Modifications to the partner program could be announced in the coming months.

“My intention is that when we get to the second half of this year, we want to share our vision with our partners. And we want to also bring forward a new partner program that is really supporting that vision,” Thomas said.
