NMC to Monitor Nest Cam Security Cameras With I-View Now Integration

LAKE FOREST, Calif. — National Monitoring Center (NMC) announces the integration of the Nest Cam security camera into its monitoring capabilities.
Through Nest’s partnership with I-View Now, NMC’s integration will allow installing security contractors to provide RMR-generating video alarm verification services to end customers who deploy Nest Cam security cameras with most any brand of alarm system, according to a press release.
The new service offering integrates security system signals and Nest Cams’ WiFi-connectivity, giving end users, NMC and emergency responders visual confirmation of security incidents, and allowing them to prioritize their resources in case of an alarm event.
NMC is one of the first third-party central stations to monitor the Nest Cam through Nest’s partnership with I-View Now. The offering allows Nest Pro dealers to expand their market and benefit from the growing DIY home security and smart home markets by offering a new product category to consumers, according to the announcement.
“Today, DIY home security systems offer features that go beyond protection, encompassing conveniences like energy management, environmental monitoring and more,” says Woodie Andrawos, president of NMC. “Many of these users prefer professional monitoring. Now, our dealers can serve those customers.”
