Panasonic i-PRO’s New Multisensor Camera Features Advanced AI at the Edge

The new i-PRO multisensor camera incorporates a built-in AI processor enabling analytics to detect people and vehicles and automatically optimize images.

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. — Panasonic i-PRO Sensing Solutions Corp. of America announces the introduction of its new multisensor camera with advanced intelligence at the edge.

The new multisensor camera comes preloaded with four AI analytics applications complemented by an extensive portfolio of features packaged in the thinnest outdoor vandal and weather-resistant configuration available, according to the company. It is available with three or four imaging sensors in 4K, 6MP and 4MP resolution.

“We’ve just made our intelligent line of S-Series AI cameras even smarter and more versatile with the addition of the new i-PRO multisensor camera,” says Adam Lowenstein, director, product management, Panasonic i-PRO Sensing Solutions Corp. of America. “Our new i-PRO multisensor camera takes wide-area surveillance to a new level by combining exceptional imaging performance and expansive feature sets with heightened levels of intelligence at the edge to provide truly proactive video surveillance. Plus, the new thin design makes it one of the most discreet cameras on the market.”

The new i-PRO multisensor camera incorporates a built-in AI processor enabling advanced analytics to detect people and vehicles and automatically optimize images. Panasonic i-PRO says the unit offers wider coverage capabilities with a larger tilt range than other multisensor cameras on the market, as well as, IR LED lighting on select models to ensure image capture in very dark environments.

The ability to autonomously detect and differentiate objects in expansive imaging areas is said to allow security personnel to focus on real events of interest, effectively improving their productivity while enhancing overall security.

To help ensure the security and integrity of video data, the new i-PRO multi-sensor camera also features industry-leading FIPS 140-2 level 3 encryption and level 3 compliance, tamper-resistant technology, identity-based authentication and an extra layer of security that protects critical security parameters on the device. This makes the camera well-suited for use in a wide range of high-security applications within the government, law enforcement, healthcare and educational verticals.
