QNAP Security Supports Hikvision Network Cameras

WALNUT, Calif.—Hikvision’s network cameras are now fully supported by QNAP VioStor Series network video recorders (NVRs) in an effort to increase performance and quality. The company’s cameras are combined with PC-less NVR solutions from QNAP Security.

“This partnership with QNAP will allow more customers to enjoy the prime video quality from Hikvision’s network cameras and the ease of operation of QNAP’s NVR products,” says Tony Yang, international marketing director, Hikvision.

Hikvision’s network cameras are powered by Texas Instruments’ DaVinci platform and support H.264/MPEG-4 dual-stream, real-time video.

QNAP’s VioStor Series NVRs feature intelligent video analytics (IVA), generic IP camera integration by CGI command, digital watermarking, SMS alerts and multiserver monitoring.

“This is a great technical synergy between QNAP and Hikvision.” says Andrew Yu, product manager, QNAP Security. “Hikvision has three decades of experience in research and development of video technology. Today we are pleased to announce the grand partnership with Hikvision in order to offer the users more choices to set up their surveillance systems.”
