Top 10 Surveillance Videos of the Week: ‘Rambo Nanny’ Chases Down Package Thief

Other top surveillance videos of the week include porch thefts, an extremely inept arsonist and more.

In this week’s Top Surveillance Videos…

While surveillance cameras are a great way to deter criminals and catch them after crimes, they don’t necessarily stop them.

Lucky for one family in Washington, they had a “Rambo” nanny that could do just that.

Watch the footage!

Kate Anderson was watching a one-year old when she noticed a package being stolen from the home’s porch. Home surveillance footage shows the thief making off with the package but unfortunately for her, the escape driver makes a premature getaway.

Anderson then runs after the suspect, screaming at her before tackling her and bringing her into the house to wait for police to arrive.

“She’s just like a straight baller, she’s amazing and doesn’t take any crap from anybody,” the homeowner told KIRO 7. In a GoFundMe to reward Anderson, the homeowner refers to her as “Rambo Nanny Kate Anderson.”

Police say the suspect had outstanding warrants for drug possession and theft, and has been arrested more than 20 times since 2010.

Also this week…

We’ve shared quite a few videos of what we proclaimed to be the world’s worst arsonist, however we may have found a new champion. At the very least, he’s the most inept.

Surveillance footage shows a man struggling to light a building on fire. He tries half a dozen times before needing to leave to get more gasoline. Does he eventually light the building on fire? You’ll have to watch and find out!
