One of the first things I ever learned in school was the “golden rule,” which is treat others the way you want to be treated. If only everyone would follow this rule, the world would be a much better place.

So the next time you are in a fast food drive-thru and begin to get angry, take a deep breath and think, “Would I like it if someone came in here and assaulted me over ketchup?”

A woman in Santa Ana, Calif. unfortunately didn’t feel that way. Surveillance footage shows her walking into the kitchen of a McDonald’s through a back door.

According to ABC 7, the woman was complaining about the lack of ketchup she received with her order. The manager told her that she wasn’t allowed in the kitchen area — that’s when the woman began kicking, punching and choking the employee.

Another important rule to live by is, “always be aware of your surroundings.” A woman in Russia found that out the hard way when she accidentally damaged priceless artwork while taking a selfie.

Surveillance footage shows another woman taking a picture of artwork, when all of the sudden, the wall falls down and nearly crushes her, courtesy of the selfie-taker.

In Soviet Russia, picture paint you!
