Milwaukee Extends Alarm Ordinance
MILWAUKEE—In April 2000, the city of Milwaukee added a paragraph to
its ordinance, which officials believe will help law enforcement track alarm dispatches.
The paragraph reads, “105-75-3 Public Safety b-5. All applicants not maintaining a place of business in the state of Wisconsin shall continuously maintain in this state a registered office and a registered agent for service of process, notice or demand required and permitted by law to be served on foreign corporations, the address of such office and the name and address of such registered agent to be filed with the city clerk.”
