STANLEY Security Announces $500K School Safety Grant Program

INDIANAPOLIS — STANLEY Security has started a $500,000 grant program to help schools nationwide enhance security on campus.

Through Oct. 28, school officials nationwide can nominate their individual school for the “Together for Safer Schools” grant program online by visiting www.stanleysaferschools.com. On Nov. 5, school administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents and the local community can vote online, or by texting the school name to 99222, for the chance to win.

The school with the most votes by Dec. 13 will win $200,000 in STANLEY Security installed products and services. Three runners-up will each receive $100,000 in installed solutions from the company. The products could include intruder classroom locks, traditional or audio intrusion systems, video surveillance, access control systems and more.

Each vote also counts as an entry to win a daily “Safety To-Go Kit” from the electronic security firm. The kit includes a first aid kit, flashlight, safety vest and other functional items that students and teachers can use in the event of an emergency.

Winners will be notified in December 2013, and prizes will be awarded in 2014.
