Murray County Schools in Georgia was looking to provide security solutions that assisted in the safe and healthy return to schools. Their goal was to utilize the newest of technologies that were cost effective and had the least disruption on the staff and students. One request was the use of metal detection devices to detect any weapons and vaping paraphernalia before it entered the building. Murray County turned to reseller South Western Communications for a solution to this problem and SWC installed ViewScan units from IPVideo Corp. The selling points were the speed of scanning which did not slow down building entry, the visual object placement identification which eliminated the need for pat downs of students and the cost effectiveness which fit the tight budgets.
