FARA Creates Brochure to Educate Alarm Customers Before They Sign on the Dotted Line
ROCKVILLE, Md.—The False Alarm Reduction Association (FARA) has created an informative brochure, entitled “Burglar Alarm Systems: A Consumer Guide to Purchasing an Alarm System and Understanding False Alarms,” designed for prospective alarm system customers. The purpose of the publication is to outline what consumers should know and ask before they sign on the dotted line.
The brochure also features a chart to aid the customer in the selection of an alarm company and alarm equipment components. In addition, it provides questions that every prospect should ask the potential alarm company. Some of the questions include: “Is the alarm company and its employees licensed by your state and/or local police jurisdictions?” “What is the alarm company’s verification policy?” or “What is the alarm company’s cancellation policy?”
The publication also includes detailed information about the cause and effects of false alarms. Prospects will also find a glossary of terms toward the back of the brochure. For more information, call (301) 279-1917.
