Access Control Company Makes Magazine’s List

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.

Cross Match Technologies had been ranked by Inc. Magazine as the nation’s fifth-fastest growing company in its Oct. 14 issue.

The provider of fingerprint and palm print access control devices registered an 11,517 percent growth in sales in 2002, according to the magazine’s list of the nation’s 500 fastest-growing companies. According to the Palm Beach Post, the company made $211,000 in revenue for 2001, then jumped to $24.5 million in sales for the past year.

Cross Match’s devices are used by the U.S. Department of Justice for background checks and by 70 of the nation’s commercial airports for access control. It is also being purchased by several corporations and organizations, including the Catholic Archdiocese in Washington.
