BICSI Offers New Material in Updated Manual

BICSI, an association supporting the information transport systems (ITS) industry, has released a comprehensive manual that covers all areas of telecommunications design through construction, installation and maintenance.

The 12th edition of the Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual (TDMM) covers subjects such as backbone and horizontal pathways, cabling and distribution, data centers, bonding and grounding, testing and a variety of applications and environments.

The manual contains new content and a reorganization of existing content in an effort to more accurately reflect the way the industry has evolved. Chapters on electronic security, network design and data centers reveal the latest advances and the continued trend of IP convergence.

The newest edition also emphasizes recommendations for best practices drawn from experts around the world while referencing the standards and codes.
