CSAA Announces 2007 Lott Award Winner

VIENNA, Va.

The Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) has awarded Benjamin Dickens, Jr., the 2007 Stanley C. Lott Award. The Lott Award recognizes individuals whose contributions to CSAA and the industry are exceptional. It is CSAA’s highest recognition of leadership and support.

Dickens has been involved with CSAA for 20 years. During that time, he has served on the board of directors and as CSAA’s legal counsel.

“I know the history of the Stan Lott award, the past recipients of the award and the many people in CSAA who have contributed to the association and the industry and who have not yet been so honored,” Dickens says. “I am truly humbled that I am the current recipient and thank Immediate Past President John Murphy and the Board of Directors for honoring me. There is no recognition, award or honor in my 30 year legal career that is as important to me as the Stan Lott award.”

Dickens also served as a liaison between the Alarm Industry Communications Committee (AICC), Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and other regulatory agencies since 1987.

“Nobody is more deserving of this award than Ben Dickens,” says Steve Doyle, executive vice president of CSAA. “He has served this industry through his counsel on regulatory and Congressional issues for many years, as well as serving as CSAA’s general counsel. In addition, Ben has guided us through some turbulent legal waters during tough times and we have always come out on top.”
