Ingersoll Rand Offers More Services to Protect Schools
CARMEL, Ind. — In response to the schools seeking increased security measures, Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies (IR) has expanded its services by providing its local security and safety consultants (SSCs) with increased tools to protect institutions.
Part of IR’s new initiative includes helping schools gain more government funding. The company will provide information from its federal and state grant funding database, which identifies $11.5 billion in funding sources to school authorities, including administrators, facility and maintenance personnel.
IR will also offer more school safety seminars and Webinars to school districts and emergency responders. Led by school safety expert Paul Timm, PSP, the free “Safe & Security Schools” one-day seminars or one-hour Webinars are interactive sessions that present proactive solutions that can be implemented at little or no cost, according to a company press release.
Additionally, the firm has launched a new “Safe Schools” Web site, which provides information schools can use to increase awareness and safety.
“Our industry plays a key role in keeping our schools safe and secure. It is up to each and every one of us to make sure we are taking advantage of all the knowledge and resources available,” says April Dalton-Noblitt, IR director, vertical markets.
