Linder – First President of WBFAA, CAA – Passes On

VAN NUYS, Calif.

Jerry Linder, a founding father of the two largest alarm
associations in the West, passed away on Oct. 24. Linder
was the first president of both the Western Burglar and
Fire Alarm Association (WBFAA) and the California Alarm
Association (CAA), founded in 1976.

Linder started his alarm business – Electro Security Corp.
of Van Nuys, Calif. – in 1975.

For decades, Linder was one of the key leaders in the

– in November 1979 featured an
article on a false alarm workshop led by Linder.

Linder’s funeral is being held at noon on Oct. 28 at the
Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
