SAFLINK NEARS COMPLETION OF PROJECT TO PROVIDE U.S. AIR FORCE WITH BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION SOLUTION

REDMOND, Wash.

SAFLINK Corp., a global biometric software provider, announces that it is in the final phase of delivering its SAFtyLock(tm) biometric security solution to the U.S. Strategic Command (STRATCOM) at Offutt AFB, Neb. SAFtyLock is a multiuser, fingerprint biometric authentication and control solution designed to enhance access and audit for highly sensitive, mission-critical network environments running Sun Solaris(r) UNIX workstations and servers. Development of this sophisticated system was contracted through World Wide Technology Inc. (WWT) of St. Louis, a provider of integrated technical solutions for government and commercial enterprises. “The SAFtyLock program demonstrates SAFLINK’s ability to develop and deliver highly reliable and scalable biometric solutions for one of the most demanding computer environments in the world,” says Walter Hamilton, vice president of sales and marketing for SAFLINK.
