Texas Instruments RFid Systems (TI-Rfid) announces that this September, it is bringing its RFID Boot Camp educational program to systems integrators, VARs and enterprise end users in Southern California and the Mid-Atlantic. Sponsored by TI-RFid and hosted by Shorecliff Communications, the Boot Camps feature a one-day overview program, which is a basic training session that can be attended separately. The class is followed by a two-day intensive technical training session.

The basic training program, taking place Sept. 10 at the Renaissance Hotel in Long Beach, Calif. and Sept. 23 at the Marriott Waterfront Hotel in Baltimore, Md., provides attendees with information about radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, industry standards, current and future applications, and the RFID selling skills needed to build RFID businesses or garner support for the initiative within their organizations.

Topics at the two-day workshop (Sept. 11-12 [Long Beach] and Sept. 24-25 [Baltimore] include: RFID marketplace opportunities; tech talk: RF frequencies and international standards; ready for prime time applications; making a match: fitting frequencies to applications; getting to know TI-RFid and its products; and focus on low frequency and high frequency: configuration, installation and design concepts. Participants will receive free TI-RFid high-frequency and low-frequency starter kits with their registration at the two-day event.
