UNICAN TO FULFILL CHOICE HOTELS’ REQUIREMENT TO OUTFIT ALL GUESTROOMS WITH ELECTRONIC LOCKS

Unican Security Systems Ltd. announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, Ilco Unican Inc., Unican Electronics Division, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Choice Hotels Intl. Choice, based in Silver Spring, Md., is the world’s second-largest hotel franchiser, with more than 4,900 hotels, inns, all-suite hotels and resorts operating or under development in 39 countries. Choice’s lodging brand names include Quality, Comfort, Clarion, Sleep and Rodeway Inns, Econo Lodge, and MainStay Suites. Unican will provide the hotels with electronic locks on all guestrooms as part of a new requirement.
“Our renewed partnership presents Ilco Unican with the opportunity to support Choice franchisees through their electronic lock transition period, while offering exclusive selling prices on quality security products,” says Alexandre Tessier, premier account sales manager for Ilco Unican. Unican Security Systems is a global supplier of access control products for the hospitality and commercial sectors, as well as mechanical and electronic security products for the safe and vault industry.
