Emergency Notification Towers Use Zoned Amplifier and Strobe Lights
Talk-A-Phone of Chicago introduces the Wide-Area Emergency Broadcast System (W.E.B.S.), integrating the firm’s emergency/information phone and wide-area broadcast capabilities into one system. The W.E.B.S. is suitable for large campus settings as well as in open spaces. Other possible uses include mass transit and light rail applications. The W.E.B.S. tower features concealed, high-output speakers designed to provide 360° coverage for broadcasts that take place locally and remotely.
The system is equipped with a zone paging system that allows authorities to broadcast remotely using an attendant phone while having the option of sending the same emergency information to individual towers. A light strobe atop each tower is designed to catch attention.
