Veracity PINPOINT PoE Device
Veracity of Dallas releases the PINPOINT, a small, 3-port device with an Ethernet “in” jack and Ethernet “out” jack preconfigured with cat5 cable. An RJ45 jack and a 3rd Ethernet port are designed to allow a laptop, netbook, PDA, etc., to be attached, allowing installers to easily set up and focus Power over Ethernet (POE) enabled IP cameras.
PINPOINT is compatible with standard PoE and PoE Plus, and most non-standard PoE up to 30 watts. No external power is needed as both the PINPOINT unit and camera using PoE, according to the company.
