BOCA RATON, Fla. — The National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA), a municipal contracting agency based in Minnesota, has renewed its national alliance cooperative contract with Tyco Integrated Security (TycoIS).
TycoIS has earned the contract for facility security equipment, systems and services with related equipment and supplies. The renewed contract will allow more than 50,000 public entity members to receive competitive bid procurement access to TycoIS’ lines of security equipment, systems and services.
“The NJPA competitive bid process ensures exceptional value to their members and our continued relationship will enable members the take advantage of our best in class security solutions and services,” says Steve Leitz, director of commercial sales for TycoIS. “We have established NJPA customer relationships in virtually every major market in the U.S. and we will continue to focus on expanding that customer base.
NJPA initially awarded TycoIS the contract in 2009. During that time, the resulting sales have grown exponentially every year, according to TycoIS. The contracting agency awarded a four-year renewal to TycoIS as well as its sister company, fire protection specialist SimplexGrinnell, both Tyco Int’l companies.
“We selected TycoIS for this national contract award renewal because of its high quality products and services, and deep roots in the integrated security industry,” says Mike Hajek, NJPA’s director of business development and marketing. “With its broad national footprint, we’re confident that TycoIS will have another successful contract term.”
