ASIS Honors ‘Accolades’ Technology Picks
PHILADELPHIA — ASIS Int’l selected its 2012 Accolades Award winners as part of the organization’s annual competition, which is says recognizes “the security industry’s most innovative new products, services, and/or solutions.”
The winners were recognized during the 58th Annual Seminar and Exhibits (ASIS 2012), held Sept. 10-13 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. A team of judges representing end users and experts in security technologies evaluated more than 40 entries before selecting the top 10 winners.
“This year’s entries presented a unique challenge to the judges,” says Accolades Co-Chair Ron Lander, CPP. “Continued advances in communications and database management yielded a field of products whose cross platform application and integration with existing products and services showed through. The judges were collectively excited and fascinated by the direction security product and service advances are taking.”
Co-Chair Howard Belfor, CPP, also notes, “The continued growth in database management and the rapid transformation in computing power are maturing products that previously were single dimensional. It would seem that the convergence we are now witnessing is one of shared databases and interoperability on many fronts.”
Following are this year’s competition winners along with a description of each product:
