New ASSA ABLOY Academy Website Consolidates Training Programs

The website features all of the existing content from ASSA ABLOY Americas University including online courses, onsite classes at learning centers.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — ASSA ABLOY has consolidated its training programs under a newly launched website that features an upgraded learning management system to streamline coursework through an enhanced user interface.

Geared toward helping security professionals to be more effective at their job of protecting people and places, the company states, the merged program offerings can be accessed at assaabloyacademy.com/Americas.

The website features all of the existing content from ASSA ABLOY Americas University including online courses, onsite classes at learning centers. There is also a Mobile Installation Training Vehicle that provides hands-on training at any location.

“Our educational offerings have seen amazing success over the past decade,” says Mark Brewer, director of education at ASSA ABLOY Academy. “The new website brings it all together in a modernized platform. It allows us to provide the most relevant training possible in an easy-to-use interface that enables learning and gives us opportunities to expand our offering.”

Among the training content, security professionals can take part in a program that offers career path competency mapping and career path planning. Irrespective of the training an individual’s team needs — such as doors, frames, hardware, electronics or basic security education — the Academy allows users to assign required online course due dates for each assignment.

“If we provide quality training for security professionals they will be better at executing on their mission of making facilities safe and secure,” says Sean McGrath, vice president of marketing, business development and training, ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions. “We view the ASSA ABLOY Academy as a critical and unique offering for everyone who wants to improve the way in which they protect the critical assets of our world.”
