DC-I6212WRX Video Intercom From IDIS Meets NEMA, IP66, IK10 Standards

COPPELL, Texas—The latest 2MP Video Intercom from IDIS—the vandal-resistant and waterproof DC-I6212WRX—is claimed to be the first NEMA 4X, IK10, and IP66 rated product of its kind offered by any video surveillance vendor.
The DC-I6212WRX from South Korean-based video surveillance manufacturer, was developed to give systems integrators and their customers a host of performance benefits, including advanced user functions and unmatched durability in harsh environmental conditions.

DC-I6212WRX Video Intercom Integrates into Video Management Systems
IDIS points out that its new video intercom is housed in a toughened casing with a choice of flush and surface mount options. The company boasts the DC-I6212WRX can withstand extreme temperatures from -22 degrees Fahrenheit to 133 degrees Fahrenheit, and humidity up to 90%. The new IDIS product incorporates intelligent trigger events including active tampering, motion detection, and trip zones. Supporting the unit’s communication capabilities, the intercom features a built-in speaker to protect against criminals’ intent on degrading security.
According to the company, the new video intercom is easy to integrate with IDIS’s choice of VMS (video management systems), including the totally cost- and license-free IDIS Center, as well as third-party systems, including access control systems and electromagnetic door locks.
Outlining some of the other features the DC-I6212WRX offers, IDIS notes the unit provides access control and visitor management capabilities are boosted with two-way VoIP (SIP) audio that is enhanced by echo canceling and noise reduction. In addition, the new video intercom is engineered to produce high levels of image quality and simultaneous two-way audio and video recording through the product’s forensic voice and video technologies that help to ensure complete audit trails and effective investigations.
IDIS emphasizes the DC-I6212WRX provides a clear foreground focus of who is calling and sharp image capture of the scene behind and around them, even in challenging lighting conditions. Internally, the video intercom features a 2MP (1920×1080) image capture with a 180-degree fisheye view; true 120dB wide dynamic range (WDR) and an IR LED nighttime range of 16 feet. Its push button placement also ensures easy use for adults of average height, children, and wheelchair users.
The DC-I16212WRX also gives end-users a menu of user features when installed as part of an end-to-end IDIS video system, with a choice of either the license-and-cost-free IDIS Center or the enterprise-class IDIS Solution Suite VMS. Benefits include answering calls and checking video and audio from the intercom while on the move, using the IDIS Mobile Plus app and the IDIS Smart Failover, which protects against loss of recorded data due to network drop-out or instability.
