Hikvision Announces Intercom Door Station

The new Hikvision Villa Door Station is IP65 and IK08 rated, and it incorporates a 4.3-inch touchscreen to provide users with an easy interface to navigate.

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif.—Hikvision, a global manufacturer and supplier of security products, has released a new compact intercom door station that it says brings plenty of new features.

The West Coast company has also announced an upgraded two-wire intercom kit that offers an improved feature set to benefit to installers and users. Both offerings Hikvision continues, combine video intercom and access control functionality to deliver a robust user experience with high levels of image quality and simple operation.

“Building entrances set the tone and expectations for visitors and occupants, so we designed these latest products to be simple to use, and to deliver an excellent user experience with clear audio, crisp video, and solid security functionality,” sayd John Xiao, vice president of marketing, Hikvision USA.

“By incorporating touch screens, authentication options, and sophisticated features such as noise and echo cancellation, we are delivering on Hikvision’s commitment to bring easy-to-use, effective technology to help organizations meet their service and security objectives.”

A Closer Look at the Intercom Door Station

New Villa Door Station: The new compact surface-mount intercom door station gives users a new experience for door access, with state-of-the-art technology. Hikvision points out the Villa Door Station supports both access card and facial authentication and can support up to 20,000 contacts with its built-in storage and processing. The new intercom door station also features an internal Mifare card reader and a physical call button to call the indoor station. The entire package has a high exterior-grade protection level, with an IP65 and IK08 rating.

Two-Wire Intercom Kit Upgrade: In addition to the new intercom door station, Hikvision has introduced a new two-wire intercom kit. The company explains the intercom kit is migrating to its Y-version through its inclusion of plug-and-play connectivity options for easy installation. The new Y-version kit upgrades the user experience by delivering high levels of image quality, convenient mobile control anytime, anywhere, and a touch screen experience. The kit includes one Two-Wire Door Station (DS-KD8003Y-IME2), one Two-Wire Indoor Station (DS-KH6320Y-WTE2), a Two-Wire Power and Data Distributor, and a door station accessory package (DS-KD-ACW1).

Hikvision emphasizes the new intercom kit upgrade Please cannot be used with the old model DS-KIS702-P.
