ProdataKey Updates App to Combine Credentialing, Access Management Functionalities

The newly updated ProdataKey App for iOS and Android combines the functionality of PDK.io with mobile credentialing and remote access previously available only through PDK touch.

DRAPER, Utah — ProdataKey (PDK), a manufacturer of Clould-based control platform solutions for mobile applications, has announced the latest version of its ProdataKey App.

The company states that its newly updated app, which is available on the Apple iOS and Android platforms, combines the mobile-first management interface for PDK access control systems with mobile credentialing and remote access previously available only through PDK touch.

“PDK prides itself on having the most user-friendly experience of any access control solution, and that commitment extends to everyone who touches the system — including integrators, technicians, administrators, employees and tenants,” says Brach Bengtzen, director of marketing at ProdataKey. “Combining all of PDK’s functionality under one umbrella means one less icon on their phones and one less app to keep current.”

ProdataKey App Offers High Levels of Convenience

The Utah-based manufacturer points out that current users of the PDK Touch App will not notice any changes. The app will simply update with a new name and it will continue to store users mobile Bluetooth credentials to allow them to remotely open doors that they have permission to open.

ProdataKey explains that an example of how authorized personnel may use the newly updated app includes an employee that uses the ProdataKey App to remotely allow a delivery person to drop off packages through a locked back entrance while remaining at their desk.

The company emphasizes that in this example, administrative features will not be visible to users. The company continues by noting that individuals who have relied on the PDK.io app for system installation, configuration, maintenance, administration and security monitoring will find those capabilities, along with the touch app’s features combined within the new ProdataKey App.

ProdataKey adds that the benefits of the combined features enables administrators that primarily rely on their phone to manage their facility’s PDK system to have convenient access to any feature they need quickly.
