Qognify Announces Gallagher Integration
A newly formed partnership between Qognify and Gallagher Security enables bi-directional integration between Qognify’s VMS technologies and Gallagher’s access control platform.
Qognify and Gallagher Security says their new integration partnership provides users with VMS and access control system flexibility.
PEARL RIVER, N.Y.—Qognify, part of Hexagon, a provider of video and enterprise incident management solutions, and Gallagher, a manufacturer of flexible, integrated access control solutions, have announced the release the integration between Qognify VMS and Gallagher access control.
Oognify explains that in a world of converging technology ecosystems, siloed solutions are no longer viable—and this applies in particular to physical security, where only combined information enables a comprehensive assessment of a situation as well as an appropriate and timely response. For this reason, Qognify offers a set of open interfaces that enable a seamless connection to other physical security technologies such as access control, intruder alarms or video analysis. Based on this technology, a new true bi-directional integration between Qognify VMS and Gallagher access control is now available.

Qognify Integration with Gallagher Provides Access Control System Flexibility
The companies point out that depending on the end user’s workflows and preferences, either Gallagher Command Centre or Qognify VMS may be used as the leading system. Users can employ the Gallagher system to display live and archive video streams from Qognify VMS. Similarly, users can utilize the Qognify VMS plugin to dynamically read entity and status information and incidents such as door open and door forced open from the Gallagher system. This information can then be visualized on maps and floor plans in the Qognify VMS client.
In addition, doors can be locked or unlocked from within the Qognify VMS client to give security personnel the ability to react quickly and appropriately to a situation without having to switch between different user interfaces.
