GE Security Makes a Change at the Top
BRADENTON, Fla. — GE Security announces Dean Seavers has been handed the reigns of the company as president and CEO, succeeding Louis Parker. Parker will assume a new role, leading strategic initiatives.
Seavers arrives at GE Security from his most recent post as president of SimplexGrinnell, a subsidiary of Tyco Int’l. Seavers led a team of more than 12,000 employees providing fire detection and alarm, fire sprinkler, fire suppression, and integrated systems and services.
Seavers joined Tyco in 1999 as the Florida ADT regional vice president of operations. In 2001, he was promoted to the vice president for the Southeast U.S. region, which became a top-performing ADT territory under Seavers. Prior to joining Tyco, he held key operational roles with Ford Motor Co. and PepsiCo.
