Nampa, Idaho, Ordinance Fines Begin on Third False Alarm
NAMPA, Idaho—Nampa City Council recently passed an ordinance aimed at reducing false alarms in an effort to quicken response time on critical alarms. After reviewing the fee structures in both nearby Meridian and Boise, Nampa officials agreed a fee structure would most likely be a step towards false alarm reduction.
Nampa residents and merchants will not be charged for the first two false alarms within a calendar year. However, they will be charged $25 for a third false alarm, $50 for the fourth, $75 for the fifth and $100 for any false alarms thereafter.
