2004 ASIS Special Report: ADT Honored as Longtime ASIS Exhibitor
DALLAS — As the ASIS expo marked its 50th year, a special honor was bestowed upon ADT Security Services Inc. as the only exhibitor to have been at all 50 ASIS expos.
ADT was on the Washington D.C. floor at the very first American Society of Industrial Security Industry Conference in 1955 when the number of exhibitors was few and Dwight D. Eisenhower was president.
At a Sept. 27 luncheon, ADT President Mike Snyder was presented with a special award by ASIS to mark the expo’s 50-year milestone (see SSI’s exclusive interview with Snyder in the September 2004 issue).
“Through mergers and acquisitions, only one company has returned year after year,” said ASIS President Shirley Pierini as she presented the award.
