Alarm systems company JMG Security Systems of Fountain Valley, Calif., has promoted Gil Ledesma to executive vice president of the company.
Ledesma has been the sales manager for JMG since 1999 after joining the company in 1996.

Matthew Rogers has joined specialty investment bank USBX Inc. as the managing director of its security practice group.
As vice president, strategy and business development at Tyco Fire & Security, Rogers managed the acquisitions of Sensormatic and Simplex Time Recorder, as well as the divestitures of Sonitrol and NACC.

Wireless video monitoring solution provider Practical Video Solutions has named Lewis Cohen as its new president and CEO.
Cohen was previously senior vice president at OzVision and the president/CEO of Apahouser Access Systems.

Continental Instruments Inc. has promoted Gene Cronin as product/sales support manager.
Cronin came to Continental in 1999 as a technical sales representative for Alarm Lock Systems Inc.
