Alarm System Foils Taco Bell Bandit

DURHAM, N.C.

An alarm system helped alert authorities in Durham, N.C., to a potential burglar who got stuck in the drive-thru window of a Taco Bell. Durham police say they responded to a burglar alarm going off at a Taco Bell at 3 a.m. on July 19 to find a suspect hanging from the drive-thru window kicking his legs, according to the Herald-Sun.

Police say the suspect was found with a box of Choco Tacos, a carton of ice cream and coins he allegedly stole from a charity donation water tank on the front counter. Also in his possession was two crack pipes, according to police.
