GE Security Takes Home an NPS Award at ISC West

GE Security’s SmartCom all-in-one residential intercom, entertainment and home-control solution won the Judges’ Choice Award for Residential in the Security Industry Association’s (SIA) New Product Showcase (NPS) at ISC West.
SmartCom was chosen from among 94 competing products for the honor. The awards program was created more than two decades ago to recognize innovation in product design. Nineteen judges representing a cross-section of the industry spent nearly two full days evaluating contest entries on pricing, innovation, product features and functionality.
“We are especially pleased that this year’s SIA New Product Showcase judges have chosen GE Security’s SmartCom as their Judges’ Choice Award winner,” says A. SmartCom blends multiroom audio and intercom capabilities into a system that gives security dealers the opportunity to offer home entertainment, intercom, audio and security in a single package. Its expandable design will allow it to deliver additional whole-house control features for security, heating and cooling, lighting and other systems.
