MICROTEC, MICROCELL FORGE RECIPROCAL MIX OF SECURITY, PCS

Microtec Enterprises Inc. and Microcell Solutions Inc., a Canadian supplier of personal communications services (PCS) marketed under the Fido(r) brand name, announces that it has signed a reciprocal agreement on the implementation of affinity programs. Microcell will offer Microtec customers Fido PCS and Microtec will offer Microcell customers Merlin security systems, free of charge for both the equipment and installation. In addition, Microtec customers who take advantage of the offer will receive a special discount on a Fido set.
“This is the third major affinity agreement Microtec has signed in the past three months. Given the strong growth of Microcell’s Canada-wide customer base, which has reached the 800,000 mark, Microcell is a choice partner for us,” says Alain Paquette, vice president of affinity programs. Microtec Enterprises Inc. is active in the home automation industry and is Canada’s leading provider of residential security services.
