LAS VEGAS — Mission 500, a nonprofit charitable organization focusing on the security industry and dedicated to serving children and families in need across the U.S., raised over $90,000 at the organization’s annual Security 5K/2K Run/Walk at ISC West 2022.

“We are once again blown away by the contributions and efforts put forth by the security industry to raise money for children and communities in crisis,” says Tracy Larson, co-chairwoman of Mission 500. “It was great to gather in person again as an industry to rally around such a great cause. We sincerely appreciate all those who donated, fundraised, sponsored and participated in the Security 5K/2K this year and we look forward to doing it all over again next year!”

Security 5K/2K Run/Walk participants gathered at the starting line on March 24 at 7:30 a.m. to kick off the race. A total of 350 registrants signed up for this year’s race, including virtual registrants who were unable to attend the event in person. Funds raised through race registration, event sponsorship and fundraising will directly benefit children and families in need across the U.S.

Top-performing race participants, as well as top corporate and individual fundraisers, were recognized at the Mission 500 5K/2K Award Ceremony held later in the day at The Bridge stage on the ISC West show floor.

The fastest male and overall winner was Jim Highsmith with an overall time of 19:17. Complete race results can be found at www.security5kreg.com.
