S2 Security Secures More Funding
WELLESLEY, Mass.
S2 Security Corp. announced it successfully secured a second funding round to bring its total funding to approximately $7 million. According to S2, it bypassed the traditional venture capital funding path by raising money by way of individuals, many of which have an interest in the firm.
According to the firm’s CEO, John Moss, S2’s original investors did re-invest this round. In addition, says Moss, the firm added a healthy dose of industry insiders, S2’s founders and new employees.
S2 says it plans to use the new funding to continue the current build-out of its sales and marketing force in addition to introducing several new products related to NetBox, S2’s flagship product. The firm has also opened a sales office in Europe and has plans to expand further.
