TYCO TO PURCHASE DSC
PEMBROKE, Bermuda
DSC had sent a letter to its dealers announcing that the company entered into a definitive agreement, subject to customary conditions to closing, to join Tyco Electronic Product Group (TEPG), a business unit of Tyco Int’l’s International Fire and Security Services division. According to the press release, as a division of TEPG, DSC will remain a manufacturer of security products. The release goes on to say that DSC’s broad customer base is considered by Tyco to be one of DSC’s greatest strengths. DSC will continue to develop independent relationships with dealers, both large and small. Dealers with questions are directed to contact their sales rep or visit the DSC web site as www.dsc.com.
