VIEW SYSTEMS TO INSTALL CAMERA SYSTEM IN TAXI CABS IN AUSTRALIA
ENGLEWOOD, Colo.
View Systems Inc., a developer, marketer and distributor of digital video systems for the international security and surveillance industry, announces it has expanded its international market. It will be providing a mobile solid-state system for taxi cabs in Australia, as requested by transportation authorities there for a trial period. The 1,000 requested units offer the company an initial short-term opportunity of about $1 million.
“View Systems’ International Division is thriving,” states Gunther Than, president of View Systems. “Interest in our products continues to steadily grow, and we expect company revenues to significantly increase as a result.”
The surveillance systems will be placed in the back of cabs and will be used to promote public and driver safety, deter physical attack and reconfirm the practicality of this mode of transportation. The system is fireproof and will record on specific command or at a specific time.
The trial period is expected to be completed by August, at which time View Systems anticipates authorities to order systems for many of the Australian cab systems.
