LifeSafety Power to Show Helix ATS PDU at ISC West 2024
The latest Helix family product from LifeSafety Power provides dealers with a rack power distribution device with network management for monitoring and control of the ATS’ outlets.

PHOENIX—Now carrying the UL 294 Standard Listing, LifeSafety Power’s Helix ATS PDU is designed to serve as a combination Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) and Power Distribution Unit (PDU) that facilitates maximum system uptime and redundancy in mission critical applications.
This new product will be on display at Booth #9073 during the ISC West 2024 show, which takes place on April 9-12 in Las Vegas. Lifesafety explains the Helix ATS PDU is the latest product in the Helix family, and the PDU serves as a rack power distribution device with network management for monitoring and control of each power output through a standard web browser.
The company points out it also offers optional Helix ATS functionality that uses a second AC input to provide automatic switchover if the primary AC source is compromised. LifeSafety Power also notes the Helix ATS mounts in a standard 19-inch rack to help it integrate into data center environments for access control and IT equipment such as servers, switches and firewalls.
Helix ATS is configured in a 1U rack height with rear panel AC connections and front panel network, sensor and input connections. The PDU’s front panel LED display indicates total AC current draw and is fully network managed for instant trouble notification via email/SNMP or through LifeSafety Power’s Multi-Site Manager (MSM) Enterprise.
Using an embedded browser interface, Helix ATS PDU monitors AC input voltages, as well as voltage and current of each output. LifeSafety Power emphasizes that upper and lower threshold limits can be set for each output to alert users to potential problems with a powered device before a failure occurs.
In addition, each output can also be remotely reset through the browser interface, allowing the user to power cycle a connected device without needing to be physically onsite.
