Wireless Radios Offer Greater Backup Alarm Coverage

NAPCO Security Group of Amityville, N.Y., announces its StarLink is now on the GSM/GPRS National Network, giving it greater coverage for backup alarm reporting. The wireless radios connect between any alarm control panel and telephone connection.

The product connects directly to the GSM network to transmit the alarm signal to any central monitoring station in case the traditional telephone line connection fails, according to the company.

The product can transmit alarm reports to any central station supporting CS formats using a data-only nationwide network.
