DataBank: Uptick in Residential RMR Fees Help Offset Recession Woes
Residential installing contractors can thank their base of recurring revenue generated from monitoring services for helping them avoid the deepest pits of the recession. According to recent data from Parks Associates, the average monitoring fee for a U.S. household with broadband increased 15 percent, from $28.60 to $32 between 2008 and 2010.
