Arcules Adds Forensic Video Search to its Open Platform

Arcules’ Forensic Video Search leverages AI technology to allow users to search recorded video based on a camera view, date, time, and specific objects of interest, including people and vehicles.

IRVINE, Calif. — Arcules, a provider of scalable multi-site video management solutions-as-a-service, announces the addition of Forensic Video Search to its open platform.

Forensic search analyzes and identifies valuable data from video surveillance devices to provide users with unparalleled situational awareness and operational intelligence, according to the company.

Forensic Video Search, built into the Arcules Cloud-based video service, leverages advanced AI technology to allow users to search recorded video based on a camera view, date, time, and specific objects of interest, including people and vehicles.

Arcules says highly relevant search results appear as video thumbnails within seconds and can be further refined by color or by specifying an area of interest within the camera field of view. When an incident occurs, users can utilize the advanced feature to quickly collect video information of the event or objects of interest.

“As a provider of Cloud-based video surveillance, we not only ensure the delivery and storage of live and recorded video, but also provide our users with the tools necessary to use that video information to ensure the protection of people, assets, and data,” says Arcules CTO Jeff Kunzelman. “Our Forensic Video Search uses the latest in AI technology to do the heavy lifting for the user. It automates the process of searching through hours of video and provides operators with extremely accurate information in just a few seconds.”

The new feature is said to be part of Arcules’ mission to provide powerful capabilities within a user-friendly, web-based environment. The Cloud-based functionality is available on the more than 6,000 cameras supported on the open Arcules platform. Stakeholders can use Forensic Video Search immediately, without the need to upgrade cameras or install GPU cards.

“The forensics feature increases investigative efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy. It is built on the foundation of our industry-leading Cloud video platform and designed to go beyond the expected, helping users manage and integrate the enormous amount of information generated from video and IoT devices daily,” adds Andreas Pettersson, CEO, Arcules. “At Arcules, we aim to bring the benefits of digital transformation to various environments, and we are proud to introduce this vital capability to our customers, who require easy access to critical security and business events when the stakes are high.”

Arcules Forensic Video Search is currently being offered to a limited number of customers and will be generally available in January 2023.
