BOCA RATON, Fla. — Tyco Int’l has officially renamed its ADT North America Commercial Security business unit to Tyco Integrated Security, the company announced today.
The rebranding, announced in March at ISC West, reflects the company’s focus on providing security solutions for commercial businesses. Tyco Integrated Security will offer commercial customers managed and hosted services, tailored to address specific security needs.
Despite the rebranding, the company will continue to provide its customers with the latest solutions and top-notch customer service, according to Brian McDonald, COO, Tyco Fire & Security and acting president, Tyco Integrated Security.
“Although our name has changed, [customers] can count on our same commitment, passion, leading-edge technologies and reliability [they’ve] come to expect from the commercial security industry leader,” he says.
Tyco Integrated Security is the result of Tyco’s reorganization into three publicly traded companies. The breakup will create ADT Residential and Tyco Fire & Security, with Tyco Integrated Security operating as a division of the Fire & Security operation. In March, Tyco struck a multibillion-dollar deal to merge its flow control operations with those of Pentair Inc.
