Altronics Security Systems Donates Alarms to Domestic Violence Victims
Altronics Security Systems has partnered with district attorneys from three Pennsylvania counties to install security systems for domestic violence victims.
LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. – Altronics Security Systems plans to donate security systems for victims of domestic violence in three counties in Pennsylvania.
The security firm is working with district attorneys from three counties – Lehigh, Northampton and Berks – on a new program called Maximum Victim Protection (MVP), Lehigh Valley Live reports.

As part of the partnership, Altronics will install panic buttons and security systems for victims. The panic button has a five-acre range from the security system. When a person hits the panic button, it connects with a central station. The individual can stay online with the central station operator until the police arrive.
The security system also features GPS technology, which will help law enforcement agencies keep track of the victims.
Altronics also plans to waive a $40 monitoring fee for alarm recipients.

The MVP program will not be for all domestic violence victims. Rather, victims would have to be in danger of imminent harm, have a protection from abuse order and must be cooperating with prosecution in a related criminal case.
